In addition to the Strandjord-Clayson award he got today (CONGRATULATIONS!!!!) for his laboratory medicine achievements, he also will be awarded the coveted Tab Stealing Monkey Award for skill in Kijabe related histopahtologic diagnostic skills.

We are volunteering in Kijabe, Kenya as Pathologists. Rochelle Garcia has come here since 2012 accompanied by her mom (Ginger) and a resident. We update this blog with posts about interesting cases, highlight similarities between our work here and the US, describe the unique challenges of working in rural East Africa, and post descriptions of our adventures outside of work.
